All new in the Grand Massif!
You may already know that the Grand Massif, with its 265km of piste, is the 9th largest ski area in Europe and the 5th largest in France and that with 80% of the slopes being North facing it has one of the best snow records in the Alps both in terms of depths and the longevity through-out the season.
You may already have experienced some of the 148 pistes and with its 20 Green, 64 Blue, 50 Red and 14 Black runs there truly is a fabulous mix of skiing for all levels of ability.
But things are getting even better . . . . .
This autumn over 50 snow cannons have been added to the Marvel and Grand Cret runs meaning guests will now be able to ski to within 200m of Chalet ALLURE all season!
With the addition of a 6-man chair up to the Samoëns plateau and a 6-man chair linking Les Carroz with the top of the Samoëns valley some of the peak week ‘pinch-points’ have been addressed, meaning more ski time regardless of which week of the season you are here.
For those that like the exhilaration of something a little more challenging a new ‘Boarder-X’ has been developed on the Mephisto piste in Flaine and a dedicated ‘Freeride’ zone has been created in the Corbalanche bowl accessible from the top of Samoëns.
And finally –the Grand Massif has become the first ski domain in the World to achieve the Green Globe certification through its continued commitment to combining tourism with social, economic, cultural and environmental initiatives.
